Chiara Bellotti Postdoctoral Fellow in Number Theory University of New South Wales (Canberra)
I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in number theory at the University of New South Wales Canberra. In September 2026, I will begin a postdoctoral position at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics.
My research focuses on the Riemann zeta function and Dirichlet L-functions, particularly the distribution of their zeros and implications for the distribution of prime numbers. My work involves zero-density estimates, large sieve inequalities, and explicit bounds. I am also interested in applications of the Vinogradov mean value theorem and related exponential sum estimates to a variety of problems in number theory, such as the Dirichlet divisor problem and circle method problems with multiplicative sets.
