Chez Miss Pascale Home Daycare offers structured education while providing the home atmosphere. We follow a combination of Play-based, Academic based, Structured and Non-Structured Play throughout our day. Activities and learning opportunities will be provided that allow children to grow and develop in the areas of Personal and Social, Language, Mathematical Thinking, Scientific Thinking, Social Studies, Music, Cooking, the Arts, and Health and Physical Education.
Infant and Toddler Program (Ages 6 weeks to 2 years)
Our infants and toddlers are offered a variety of opportunities to explore their world through play. Gross and fine motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play. These children are also included in all daily activities. Our program uses the State Approved Curriculum. We have outside play few times a day. We are a participant of the Food Program and supply breakfast, lunch, and a snack (afternoon).
Preschool (Ages 2-5 Years)
Although it may seem like fun and games to preschoolers, the state curriculum standards we follow is packed with educational elements. The children will focus on pre-reading skills like phonemic awareness and letter and sound recognition, early writing, foreign language, cooking, basic math concepts, time, social studies, and hands on science exploration, art, music, physical education, and much more. We have outside play few times a day. I am a participant of the Maryland Food Program and I supply breakfast, lunch and 1 snack.
School aged children (Ages 5-12 years)
School agers are given a quiet environment for homework and projects, with supervised access to a computer. Children may be able to attend full days when schools are closed when space is available.
We believe that children learn through play, problem-solving, cooperation, and open-ended activities that expand their cognitive thinking. We will provide needed time to engage, explore, expand, express and evaluate their learning in a fun and creative way. If your child has an IEP (Individualized Education Program)/IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) we would use the paperwork which would help us help your child in learning. All children participate in everyday routines and activities to the best of their abilities. I aim to make our days fun, exciting and educational at the same time.
