Hello. My name is Che Whyte, but you can call me Che. I am a UK artist, cartoonist, illustrator, and animator. I specialise in cartoon illustration of anthropomorphic animals. My inspirations are Disney and Warner Bros. cartoons from the golden age of animation. I was a self-taught person who did not attend a professional art school. So, I used books that teach me how to draw toony animals, hands, and animation. I started traditional art in the early years and transitioned to digital art in 2017. In that year, I drew digitally on an iPad. During my break time, I watch cartoons and other TV shows. I also watch films and famous classical ballets on some nights. Those inspired me to work on many illustrations and sketches. I discovered many famous cartoons by Disney, Warner Bros., MGM, etc. Between the late 2010s and the early 2020s, I studied and practised drawing from books. I like listening to music whilst working and walking out. During my time on the tablet, I tried various art apps, and Procreate was my favourite. I am also a photographer, and took pictures of various views, merchandise and ornaments. Those gave me the idea of how to use them as a reference, whether I struggle with any ideas. I create characters and dress them in clothes. I also write backstories for them, as well as making reference sheets. Afterwards, I bring expressive characters to life by drawing pictures. Nowadays, my cartoons tell stories and are inspired by various animated series, films, shorts, and children's books.
