Sanborn 1939

Maps published by the Sanborn Map Company were created to allow fire insurance companies to assess their liability in urbanized areas of the United States. They contain detailed information about properties and individual buildings, focused on their relevance to the fire insurance industry. For example, they show building materials and fire hydrant locations. Not all areas of Cheverly at the time of mapping are included.
