Will the school have sports and clubs?

Yes, the school can have sports and clubs. Interested parents can spearhead those endeavors. At this point we don't know if there will be sports the first year, but it is possible if there are individuals who would like to pursue this endeavor.

What will be the tuition? Will there be scholarships?

At this point we do not know what tuition will be. There are many factors that we will look at to determine the tuition. However, it is a high priority of Chesterton Network Schools that tuition be affordable and significantly less than other private schools in the area. We will definitely work towards this goal. Our hope is that there will be scholarships available to offset tuition costs for families.

Is Chesterton Academy accredited, and do you have the Bishop's blessing?

Yes, we do have Bishop Cotta's blessing to open a Chesterton Academy in Turlock. The school will be accredited similarly to the other Catholic schools in our Diocese.

We are currently working on getting our nonprofit status approval. What is the process to open a Chesterton Academy in Turlock?

We will apply to join the Chesterton Schools Network between November and January. In February, we will attend Discovery Days, which is a three-day workshop at an existing Chesterton Academy in Illinois where we will learn about the schools and how to get them up and running. After that begins an 18-month process to opening the school Fall 2026. Please pray for this school.

When will you begin to hire?

We are still in the early stages of opening Chesterton Academy of the Immaculate Conception. Hiring will begin early 2026. Please visit our Careers page.
