What is the Tree of Light?
Participate with family, friends and neighbors in the first annual Tree of Light—a celebration of Chester’s community spirit and the season’s glow. Hosted by the Chester NH Lions Club, the Tree of Light will shine in front of Stevens Hall, lighting the heart of Chester, together.
Supporting community members (donors) are invited to dedicate a symbolic light in honor of someone special (honoree). Honoree names will be displayed on recognition boards surrounding the tree, and each donor will receive a keepsake of appreciation.
✨ Tree Lighting Ceremony: Sunday December 7, 4:30 pm
📍 Location: Stevens Hall, Chester, NH
🕯️ Tree on display: Early December – End of January
Proceeds directly benefit the Chester NH community through contributions to community programs, and local CIP improvement projects.

The Tree of Light is more than a decoration—it’s a reflection of our community’s kindness and generosity. We are deeply thankful to all who make it possible.
The Chester Lions Club would like to thank everyone who’s helping bring the Tree of Light to life. We’re so grateful to the Chester Selectboard for their support and encouragement in creating this new community tradition. A HUGE thank you to Christmas Decor, our local professional holiday decorators, for very generously donating their time and services to light up Stevens Hall for the season. To the Chester General Store and Chester Public Library, thank you for opening your doors as a donation center and always being there for our community. The Tree of Light shines because of the kindness, generosity, and spirit of neighbors like you.
And, of course, to the members of the Chester NH Lions Club, who meet and work tirelessly to give back to the community.
