Chess Club at UCR is a non-profit organization that believes in providing equitable opportunities for all UCR Highlanders to partake in chess and chess-related activities.

Whether you're a beginner or you've been playing chess all your life,  Chess Club at UCR strives to deliver wonderful experiences for all of our community members - regardless of skill level.

Since 2017, we have arranged over 250 events for the general public. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have continued to hold weekly events through online platforms - including but not limited to Lichess, Chess.com, and Discord. As of Fall 2021, we have also resumed in-person activities and continued offering digital events.
