Q1: How do I get started with ChessBud?
A: Getting started is easy! Just download the app from the App Store, enter your Chess.com username, select the game time control you want to search for an the period of time to search for (7 days = the previous 7days, 30 days = the previous 30 days, etc).
Q2: What devices are compatible with ChessBud?
A: Currently ChessBud is available on any apple watch device that running watchOS 9 or later.
Q3: How do I trigger a positional evaluation/best move for a given position?
A: To retrieve an evaluation for the position and best the best move, choose a game, navigate to the desired position and tap the chessboard.
Q4: How do I report a bug or an issue?
A: Please report any bugs or issues through the app store feedback tool.
Troubleshooting Tips
App Crashing: Searching for longer periods of time (30, 60, 90 days) can trigger in app hangs or jitters, especially for older watch models. It is recommended to only search for games played during the previous 7 days for optimal use, and to only use the longer search modes for data analysis purposes.
Connectivity Problems: Ensure your device has a stable internet connection.
