Touch-move 1: If a player touches one of their own pieces then he must move that piece, if it is a legal move.
Touch-Move 2: If a player touches a piece of that of the opponent, then capturing that piece is a must if it is possible.
Touch-Move 3: If you let go of a piece, you have to leave it there.
Touch-Move 4: Players who wish to touch a piece only to adjust it on the chessboard must first announce the intention, usually by saying “adjust”.
Disturb Chess pieces 1: Player CANNOT disturb pieces on board and hit their clock. Player to setup pieces correctly on their Time and hit CLOCK.
Disturb Chess pieces 2: Player CANNOT deliberately disturb pieces on board
No interference: When the game is in progress, 3rd party CANNOT interfere in the game.
No Talking: Player CANNOT talk, make noise or disturb opponents during game.
Cell Phone Use: No cell phone or electronic device usage. Opponent to call TD.
CLOCK CHECK: Players CANNOT STOP Clock to check clock tournament settings delay, increment times after Round starts. Players have to do it before Round starts. Time PENALTY.
CLOCK START 1: Players should make MOVE and start CLOCK after RD starts, if opponent is not there.
CLOCK START 2: If MOVE not made and only CLOCK start, then time is reduced for both Opponents equally to make up LOST Time.
CLOCK LATE: If both players are late, time is reduced in the RD for both players equally, to make up the LOST Time.
CLOCK PAUSE: Players CANNOT STOP CLOCK Clock to go out, take break, or get updated on move notation. Players have to do it on OWN Clock Time. Clock can be Paused only if Player has Issues and to call TD. Clock starts after Issue resolved.
Illegal Move 1 (IM 1): Player to STOP CLOCK and call TD.
Illegal Move 2 (IM 2): If illegal move noticed is Check to King (King under attack - even more than 10 moves back) - then players to STOP CLOCK and call TD. Game taken back to the last legal move before Check. Time penalty to player with illegal move. START CLOCK and play continues. Clock is not changed back. The players do not recover the time used after the illegal move.
Illegal Move 3 (IM 3): If illegal move is over 10 moves back - then players to call TD. Clock STOP. Time penalty to player with illegal move. Clock START and play continues. But only if Illegal move is Check to King - then see previous rule IM 2.
Notation Device: If a notation device is to be used; player has to be 30 min early before round. Player to demo device to opponent, players, TD and answer any questions. If not player has to notate by hand that round.
Record chess moves: If moves not recorded by Player, then opponent can object and call TD. Player has to record chess moves and get up to date on own clock.
Sudden Death Time Pressure: When Time less than (<) 5 min for either player, no need to record chess moves.
Byes 1: All byes to be requested before Rd 1.
Byes 2: After taking bye and Rd 1 games start - if player wants to cancel bye and play that round; then player Win = 0.5; Loss = 0, Draw = 0.5. Player can only get maximum of 0.5 point in that round.
WITHDRAW: If player wants to Withdraw, Player to text TD @ 470-422-2360 after their RD so that they are NOT paired next RD. If not, it will be a FORFEIT loss.
GAME Results: Please text your Game Results to TD @ 470-422-2360 to complete and pair next RD.
Correct Sections: Players to play in Own section or Higher section. Players CANNOT play in lower sections.
Players to take your boards and clock after Rd. U cannot ask for board, clock after Rd starts and others r playing on board.
