  • If so, Cheshire Youth Choir may be for you!

The Cheshire Youth Choir has been established for over twenty years and have sung at the World Choir Games in Graz, Austria, the National Festival of Music for Youth and also sung with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in 2015.

Singing in a choir has so many positive benefits such as

  • Teamwork
  • Higher Academic Achievement
  • Increased confidence
  • Better social development
  • Musicianship
  • Discipline
  • Feeling Good!

Our experienced team help our singers to develop vocal skill, build confidence and above all to HAVE FUN!

We are keen to welcome new singers to the group, and don’t have any auditions. For membership enquiries, please contact Edsential on 0845 557 6315 or email

Where and when do you rehearse?

We meet from 10am-1pm on Saturday mornings approximately five times a term at Hartford High School , Northwich. CW8 1LH

Is there an audition?

No, but if you’re not sure which voice part to sing in, our experienced vocal tutors will be able to help.

Do I have to have passed any exams or be taking regular singing lessons?

Again, no! We cover vocal technique in every rehearsal.

Do I need to read music and of a high standard?

We expect singers to be committed to attending regular rehearsals and be able to sing in tune but not necessarily with the best voice in the world. Reading music is helpful, but not essential as some of the music is taught by ear.

I’m not old enough, but I want to join a choir…

Our new Junior Young Singers is open to singers aged 8 and above. Rehearsal are from 10.00am – 11.30am on the same dates and same venue as the Youth Choir. Many members of the Junior Young Singers who play an instrument stay to rehearse with the Cheshire Youth Junior Orchestra from 11.30am – 12.30pm.
