Who we are and what do we do?
Joining the Friends is a great way to meet like-minded people and get involved in your child’s favourite hobby! The Friends are parents and staff members who meet up during rehearsals on Saturday mornings to discuss things like: how to support and market the different groups; upcoming concert requirements; fundraising opportunities; and how best to spend funds already raised - whether that’s buying new repertoire for the different groups, supporting children in receipt of free school meals with the hire of instruments, or subsidising social trips or residentials.
Most importantly, all funds raised by the Friends benefit the children in some form or another.
How can you help?
Anyone can come along to a meeting just to see what we’ve got going on or coming up – you don’t have to be a member of the committee. We’re always looking for fresh ideas and input and we welcome new faces. Whether it’s an offer to sell raffle tickets, wrap prizes, serve refreshments, load and unload equipment for concerts, or just to listen to the conversation and offer your opinions, it’ll always be gratefully received.
