The Latest Beings & Doings
I hold a master’s degree in Interdisciplinary International Environmental Studies and two Permaculture Design Certificates. My work is rooted in regenerative practices, nature-based solutions, and Indigenous knowledge.
As an active board member of Ecologists Without Borders, a Washington-based 501(c)(3) international nonprofit, I help guide project selection, operations, fundraising, marketing, storytelling, and strategic planning. I have managed grants for environmental initiatives, including Akha Environment and Health (Mae Suai, Chiang Rai, Thailand), The Foundation for Education and Development of Rural Areas (Mae Rim, Thailand), and the Maple Leaf P-Patch (Seattle, Washington). I also manage a grant and oversee student worker positions for the University of Washington's Campus Sustainability Fund Green Square urban garden project.
My mission is to gradually move the needle toward a self-sufficient zero-waste society while fostering a deeper understanding of the dynamic relationships between humans and ecosystems. I am an advocate for Indigenous science, food, and land sovereignty movements.
Life involves its share of challenges, and the world is quite perplexing to put it mildly. Amidst this complexity, humans hold a remarkable ability to shape our own experiences. I firmly believe that fostering understanding across cultures is a crucial step towards reducing unnecessary hardships. I believe that building understanding across cultures can ease a lot of unnecessary struggles.
Modern culture simultaneously wrestles with and forgets its past, fueling division and destructive behaviors—especially amplified by social media. That’s why I engage with professional networks like All Tech is Human, where I focus on promoting accessible education, ethical choice architecture, and contributing to a more thoughtful, ethical digital future.
I design and build dynamic, transformative learning experiences that adapt to the needs of diverse learners. As a Program Director for International Specialized Programs at the University of Washington, I create customized educational programs for international students, blending innovation with real-world application.
I’ve developed programs across a wide range of fields, including Business Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Studies, Sustainable Business, Pedagogy, Nursing, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Undergraduate Academic Preparation, Technology for Good, Graduate School Preparation, and TEFL.
Currently, I’m exploring the potential of interactive and game-based learning to make sustainability education more engaging and impactful.
My strongest skill is ideation—I thrive on connecting seemingly unrelated ideas across a wide range of topics. I’m constantly absorbing new insights from books and podcasts on economics, entrepreneurship, behavioral science, neuroscience, technology, ethics, finance, education, Indigenous knowledge, environmental science, medicine, human rights, culture, design, and more. The patterns and trends I uncover are endlessly fascinating.
If you’re curious about harnessing the power of ideation, Imaginable by Jane McGonigal is a great place to start.
I love solo travel, especially to culturally rich and unique places. For me, the best experiences come from making genuine connections with locals—whether it’s learning to cook traditional dishes or getting involved in volunteer projects.
I speak Thai, know some Northern Thai, and am currently studying Spanish and Norwegian. I’ve also explored Diné Bizaad and would love the opportunity to learn more.
Always drawn to creativity and new challenges, I’ve self-published five books. The first four are comedy cookbooks, but my latest project takes a different direction—a series of immersive dream vignettes written primarily in ungendered second-person. I envision this work evolving into a series of animated shorts.
108 Dreams is my exploration of our shared subconscious—the surreal, the tragic, and the wonderfully absurd ways our minds process daily life. Through these vignettes, I hope to create quiet yet powerful points of connection across humanity.
Since completing 108 Dreams, I’ve discovered an enhanced ability to recall my dreams, so I’ve decided to push further with a sequel: 216 Dreams. This next volume will be accompanied by AI-generated illustrations, adding another layer of depth to the experience.
You can find my published books on my Amazon author page.
I’ve always been drawn to capturing the beauty of plants, animals, and the natural world through photography, painting, sculpture, and digital art. My creativity is fueled by unconventional influences—grunge, graffiti, humor—and I occasionally explore portraiture as well. I work with tools like DALL-E, NightCafe, Adobe Photoshop, and other design platforms to bring my ideas to life.
Some of my recent works, Collective Subconscious, were featured in the Shared Thought exhibit at Columbia City Gallery in Seattle, and my piece Generational Wisdom is on permanent display at the Mount Vernon Library Commons in Skagit County, Washington.

Dabbling in Airbnb in its early years sparked my interest in hobby businesses, house hacking, financial literacy, investing, money-saving strategies, and entrepreneurial thinking—especially as I’ve navigated rising expenses and the ever-shrinking value of my salary. I’m now channeling this mindset into a new bartering economy project, exploring alternative ways to exchange value and build more resilient local communities.
Did you end up here searching for my old Google Blogger foodie blog, Ignore This Cooking Blog? Since 2020, I’ve mostly been cooking and baking for one, so I decided to redirect that URL here. While the blog may be retired, my love for food and bringing diverse people together over food isn’t—I’m always happy to chat about cooking, baking, and, of course, share my cookbooks anytime!
A deep curiosity about nature and self-sufficiency initially led me to wildcrafting and foraging in the Pacific Northwest—first as a personal experiment, then as something I couldn’t help but share. I now teach Foraging Edible Wild Plants at New Start Community Garden in Burien, where I help others recognize the abundance hiding in plain sight.
That same passion for resilience and resourcefulness extends into my Introduction to Backyard Permaculture course at Edmonds College. Here, I guide students through the fundamentals of designing low-maintenance, regenerative food systems—no sprawling acreage required.
At their core, both of these classes are about reconnection: with the land, with traditional knowledge, and with the simple joy of gathering free and nutritious food right outside your door.
