The Board Builder is an item used to generate Minesweeper boards using presets or custom sizes with a couple options.

Crafting

Usage

Right-clicking while holding this item brings up a GUI that displays many styles of tiles along with buttons to generate Minesweeper boards. Clicking any side arrow shows a custom board screen. These boards place random tiles via Mystery Tiles, which are how tiles generate under certain conditions.

Preset boards

• Beginner generates a 9x9 board,

• Intermediate generates a 16x16 board,

• Advanced generates a 16x30 board,

• Expert generates a 24x30 board,

• MINESCREEPER generates a 25x8 board,

• WR (World Record) generates a 718x282 board,

• and other buttons are even more self-explanatory.

The custom board page allows you to... create a custom size board. Inputting numbers in the x, y and z axes generates boards in the specified size, like an easy-to-use /fill command.

Trivia

• In classic Minesweeper (aka WINMINE), the Advanced option generates a 30x16 board. Expert is the maximum size you can put in WINMINE's custom board option; 24x30. This replaced the mod's earlier "Max (228x228)" option, which was, in fact, not the maximum size.
