While our roots come from the official Arma universe, Chernair follows an alternative-present timeline that diverges from the events portrayed in the games.
In our interpretation, Chernarus emerged from its turbulent past to become a stable and prosperous nation with a growing role in international aviation. As the country's flag carrier, Chernair became one of the most recognizable symbols of modern Chernarussian success.
Through our tours and community events, we explore a version of Chernarus that has embraced international trade, tourism, and global connectivity while maintaining its unique national identity.
The Expansion of Chernair
One of the most significant moments in modern Chernair lore came with the airline's expansion into the United States.
In this alternate timeline, Chernair acquired the former operating contracts and route network previously associated with Spirit Airlines. Rather than operating those routes as a separate American airline, they were integrated into the Chernair family through the creation of Chernair USA.
This expansion transformed Chernair from a regional European carrier into a truly global airline with a substantial presence throughout North America.
The move represented a major milestone not only for the airline but also for the nation of Chernarus itself. It demonstrated that a carrier from a small Eastern European nation could successfully compete on the world stage.
Despite its expansion into the United States, Chernair has never abandoned its roots.
The airline's headquarters, executive leadership, and primary strategic control remain based in Prague at Václav Havel Airport Prague (LKPR).
Prague serves as the heart of the airline and remains the primary hub of Chernair operations. While Chernair USA operates extensively throughout the United States, it functions as a subsidiary of the larger Chernair organization.
This reflects the broader vision of modern Chernarus in Chernair lore: a confident nation capable of competing internationally while remaining proud of its heritage and identity.

Unlike most virtual airlines, Chernair is not simply based in a fictional country.
