At the heart of ChernAir Virtual is our community—a warm, supportive, and highly engaged group of pilots who make the skies feel like home. While our programs, flights, and systems create structure and purpose, it is our people who give ChernAir its identity. We are built on the belief that virtual aviation should be about connection as much as flying, and every aspect of our community is designed to foster belonging, friendship, and shared passion.
A Community Built on Respect, Encouragement, and Fun
From new simmers taking their very first GA hop to experienced pilots logging international sectors daily, ChernAir Virtual welcomes everyone with open arms. Our environment is intentionally crafted to be beginner-friendly, supportive, and free from the rigid bureaucracy that often drives people away from virtual airlines.
We operate on a simple principle:
every pilot, regardless of experience or preferred aircraft, deserves to be valued and included.
This mindset shapes how we talk, how we fly together, and how we help one another grow. Questions are always welcomed. Mistakes are treated as opportunities. Achievements are celebrated loudly. And whether you’re flying solo, joining a group event, or hanging out in the crew lounge, you’ll always find people willing to chat, assist, or simply share the love of aviation.
A System Designed for Community, Not Competition
ChernAir's system adds structure, identity, and camaraderie to the experience—but not rivalry or pressure. Each pilot can choose a home hub, often based on personal preference, location, or aircraft type. These hubs function like small communities within the larger airline, giving pilots a place to belong without creating unnecessary separation.
Every hub is designed to feel like:
A home base
A community gathering spot
A local team within the larger ChernAir family
A resource center for support, guidance, and events
Instead of rigid hierarchies, we emphasize collaboration and inclusion, where hubs work together, share events, and support one another.
Friendly, Trained, and Welcoming Hub Managers
Our Hub Managers are the heart of each regional group. They are selected not for authority, but for friendliness, patience, and leadership through kindness. Before stepping into their roles, hub managers go through the Hub Management Training Course, which teaches:
How to welcome and onboard new pilots
How to maintain a friendly, inclusive environment
How to communicate clearly and respectfully
How to run simple events, challenges, and discussions
How to assist pilots with FS Hub, tours, or airline systems
How to keep things organized without ever becoming rigid or intimidating
Their training prepares them to be guides rather than bosses—people pilots can comfortably approach with questions, ideas, or problems. The goal is simple:
Every pilot should feel seen, supported, and valued at their home hub.
Inside the Discord, pilots enjoy a laid-back atmosphere filled with:
Aviation discussions
Screenshot sharing
Flight logs and milestones
Friendly chatter
Events, group flights, and casual fly-ins
Help channels for sim troubleshooting or FS Hub questions
Airline program and humanitarian updates
The tone remains consistently positive and welcoming, with hub managers and staff always present to keep the community flowing smoothly.
Pilots are encouraged—not pressured—to interact. Whether you’re deeply social or quietly focused, there’s space for you at ChernAir.
Group Flights, Events, and Shared Experiences
Community is strongest when pilots fly together, and ChernAir makes that easy and enjoyable. We regularly launch:
Airline group flights across real AA or oneworld routes
Humanitarian campaign fly-ins to support regional relief efforts
General aviation outings to explore scenic regions
Tour kickoffs and celebration flights
Seasonal or special event flights
These events are designed to be friendly, pressure-free, and fun for pilots of any skill level. Voice chat is always optional, and managers ensure no one is left behind or confused about procedures.
A Culture of Growth Through Friendship
ChernAir Virtual is more than a virtual airline—it's a community where pilots become friends, mentors, teammates, and collaborators. Many pilots join for the flights but stay for the relationships they build along the way.
We encourage learning and improvement through:
Light guidance, not strict rules
Friendly coaching, not critique
Supportive teamwork, not competition
Whether you’re mastering a new aircraft, learning to fly online networks, or joining humanitarian missions for the first time, someone is always ready to help.
A Living, Breathing Community That Evolves With Its Pilots
As the VA grows, so does the community. New hubs open, new managers step up, new tours launch, and new pilots join the family.
Everything we design—programs, events, achievements, roles, and systems—is built with one purpose:
To create a virtual home where pilots feel connected, supported, and excited to fly.
ChernAir Virtual is not just an airline.
It’s a family.
It’s a home base.
It’s a place where aviation passion meets genuine community.
