Chepstow Taekwondo Academy is family friendly Taekwondo club, training in the traditional Korean ITF Martial Art. We train twice a week at Chepstow Leisure Centre in the main hall. Students of all ages train in the same sessions making it perfect for families. We pride ourselves on our welcoming, inclusive sessions that cater for all abilities.
Sunday 11am-12pm: All grades
Wednesday 6.30-7.30pm - Junior grades
Wednesday 7.00-8.00pm - Senior grades
Taekwondo develops fitness, core strength, agility and flexibility along with the mental benefits of confidence, discipline and stress relief. The Tenets of Taekwondo are 'Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control and Indomindable Spirit' and these are practiced during every training session and beyond
Taekwondo is an art of self defence founded in Korea by General Choi Hong Hi in the 1950s. Translated literally 'Tae' stands for jumping or flying, to kick or smash with the foot; 'Kwon' denotes the first, chiefly to punch or destroy with the hand or fist; 'Do' means art or way.
