Life@Grenoble
I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Paris, a city celebrated for its romance, history, and culture. However, of all the cities in France, it is Grenoble that left an indelible mark on me. I spent three enriching years there working on my thesis. Nestled amidst majestic mountains, Grenoble's scenic beauty took my breath away during my first visit. The serenity and awe-inspiring landscapes convinced me that it was the perfect place to embark on my PhD journey.

Beyond its academic allure, Grenoble is a haven for nature enthusiasts like myself, offering ample opportunities for hiking and exploring the great outdoors. In winter, the city transforms into a skier's paradise, with numerous skiing stations in close proximity.

My Hometown: Guangzhou
Guangzhou, my beloved hometown, is a harmonious blend of the ancient and the modern. Towering over the scenic Pearl River, the iconic Guangzhou Tower stands as a testament to the city's architectural prowess and ambition. This beacon of progress illuminates a city that proudly hosted the Asian Olympic Games in 2010. Beyond its contemporary achievements, the city's rich history is embodied in the legend of the Five Goats, which recounts how five celestial beings bestowed blessings upon the land, making it a fertile and prosperous haven.

When speaking of Guangzhou, one cannot avoid mentioning the rich food culture that thrives there. Central to this culinary heritage is the tradition of '早茶' or 'morning tea', which is not just about sipping tea but is an elaborate breakfast feast of dim sum dishes ranging from steamed buns to dumplings. Cantonese people take immense pride in their food, believing that the best of Chinese cuisine can be found in their kitchens and eateries. This pride is evident in the bustling local markets, the intricate preparation of dishes, and the joyous gatherings around dining tables. To truly understand Guangzhou, one must indulge in its flavors and partake in its longstanding food rituals.
The Affiliated High School of South China Normal University, commonly known as "HSFZ," stands as one of the most prestigious institutions in the Canton Province. It was here that I was privileged to spend six pivotal years of my life, surrounded by an exceptional peers of individuals who evolved into life-long friends. This period, a significant chapter of my youth, was instrumental in molding my values, knowledge, and personality. The unparalleled education and experiences I acquired at HSFZ have not only shaped my identity but have also profoundly influenced my decision to embark on a career as a researcher.
