Chengzhang Fu's Homepage

I am a Britton Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University, where I work with Professor Bartosz Protas. My research lies in partial differential equations, fluid dynamics, and scientific computing, with a particular focus on the analysis and numerical simulation of hydrodynamic models. My current interests include the Navier–Stokes equations, surface quasi-geostrophic models, turbulence, extreme and singular behavior in fluid flows, data assimilation, and related computational problems.

I received my Ph.D. in Mathematics from Indiana University Bloomington in 2026 under the supervision of Michael S. Jolly. I obtained my B.S. in Mathematics, cum laude, from the University of Miami in 2020.

Outside of research, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and skiing.
