Since 1987 the Education sub-committee of the Manchester and District Section of the Royal Society of Chemistry has held an annual chemistry competition for schools within the Greater Manchester area. The winner of this competition is nominated as the regional representative for the national RSC Top of the Bench competition

The activities usually consist of three rounds:

1 A quiz section including short 10 min tests of KS3/KS4 chemistry knowledge, general chemical knowledge and picture rounds.

Although there can only be one "winner" the emphasis is very much on Chemistry fun and there are many prizes awarded for different parts of the day. We hope you will be able to join us!
