1. What are the eligibility criteria for admission to the graduate programme?

Ans.: Intermediate in science or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

2. What are the lab facilities and how are practical session conducted?

Ans.: There are two different labs: one for physical/Analytical practical and other one for Organic/Inorganic chemistry practical. Practical session demonstrated by demonstrator and lecturer.

3. Does the department assist with placements?

Ans.: Yes, during the final semester students are participated and selected in different MNCs like TCS, Vedant, Pharmaceutical companies.

4. Does the department organize seminar and other extension activities?

Ans.: Yes, Every year our department organizes weekly seminar, Education extension activities like Book Exhibition, Instrument Orientation, Poster presentation and community extension like Cleanliness drive, awareness programmes etc.

5. What laboratory equipment and facilities are available for students?

6. What support is available for students struggling academically?

Ans.: For students in our department there are different activities conducted like competence building class about different topics, Career counselling, remedial class etc.

7. Where can I apply for this Programme?

Ans.: You can apply for B.Sc. Chemistry under SAMS odisha portal and there you can get information about available seats, previous year cut-off, admission fees etc.

8. Are there opportunities for student scholarships or financial aid?

Ans.: Yes, If you secured above 50% marks on your last exam passed then you can eligible for various scholarships available under State Scholarship portal Odisha. 

9.  What programmes does the chemistry department offer?

Ans.: The programme is based on CBCS and NEP-2020.

10. Is there any library support?

Ans.: Yes, In our department there is a seminar library with different reference and text books and you can access books vartualy from the digital library also (link provided in download section).
