What got me into Chemistry/S.T.E.M.?

Passion Project

This is My History section! This section just describes what I am like and what got me interested in Chemistry and S.T.E.M. This is my passion project where I express the things I am most dedicated about. I want to help others which this field allows me to. Therefore, I get to expand others knowledge and mine. This is a win-win solution! The thing that got me in S.T.E.M/Chemistry was NOT for monetary value in trying to find a career that will supply me for life. It engaged me since it has all the things I love in one. I get to help others, expand my knowledge, and better yet share it with others. I want to communicate with others who have the same passions who are shunned away because people think it is "weird to apart of this field" or "anxious that no one will". Do not worry since I care and we can facilitate change in imaginable ways.

My interests in S.T.E.M?

In S.T.E.M there are a lot of fields that stood out to me in a positive way. I wish I could love all of them but my passions aligned with chemistry. Chemistry gave the me the ability to branch out of my scientific comfort zone. I never though I would find a science that would impact me in such a positive way. I got expand my knowledge in unexpectable ways. I would watch Melissa Maribel videos to grow the chemistry seed that was planted in my head by my chemistry teacher! Not only that but my chemistry teacher aided the growth of my knowledge and she made the curriculum fun that engaged me in a positive light. In addition, I would tutor for her class and it was amazing! I got to help a variety of students understand the concepts which was riveting. Not only that but I got to expand my knowledge and challenge myself in new ways that I will always cherish.

Fun fact: My favorite element from this periodic table is Potassium. Did you know potassium is in bananas and they are super yummy for you. Not only that but they are healthy at moderation, of course. High consumption of bananas can led to Hyperkalemia due to the high levels of potassium that can caused with excessive amounts of bananas.

Due to the pandemic hitting the year I was going enter to chemistry, I was never able to do "real experiments" at home. However, that did not stop me! I would use Gizmos, the materials in my house, and much more to expand the technical aspect of chemistry. As you can tell I had a lot of spare time when it came to chemistry! Although, it was challenging to do a lot of things I wanted to do, I still did them, and it helped grow my passion even further.
