Classes will be conducted on a weekly basis over zoom at a set meeting time (TBD) based on availability.
Aaryan and Aarushi will be teaching the YBTC curriculum using their extensive conceptual understanding. We will be using our own curriculum along with the YBTC Pamphlet to cover all key concepts to ensure student success in the competition. Having won the competition, we know the exact concepts and material needed to ensure student success.
We will also offer extensive practice materials and insightful guidance on video creation.
After we have taught majority of the curriculum, we will conduct two mock tests in order to divide students up into teams of four. Students will be ordered based on a cumulative score, factoring in mock test scores, attendance records, and overall enthusiasm and commitment.
By December: YBTC Curriculum will have been taught and both preliminary tests will have been administered.
By January: Teams will have been created, and we will be progressing in our video creation.
Early March: Video Due Dates + First Offical Regional Virtual Test, consisting of 40 Chemistry problems.
The Regional Challenge and video scores are considered to determine the state winners and national finalists.
National finalist teams advance to the National challenge in Houston, usually held in early June.
