CREATIVE COOKING CLASS FOR KIDS

OUR STEAM METHODOLOGY

At Chef Kids, cooking is a creative way to learn.

Our program combines STEAM education, culinary creativity, nutrition, mathematics, science, art, and life skills through hands-on food projects.

Students work with commercially prepared or prepackaged food components and learn how to assemble, combine, mix, fill, shape, decorate, measure, and create their own culinary projects.

Each activity is designed to develop:

Science: Exploring ingredients, textures, colors, and how different components work together.

Technology: Learning about food, tools, and modern culinary techniques.

Engineering: Understanding structure, balance, proportions, and how food projects are assembled.

Art: Using creativity, colors, shapes, and presentation to create an edible design.

Mathematics: Practicing measurements, counting, portions, patterns, and proportions.

A Hands-On Educational Experience

Every class has a different theme and project. Students follow step-by-step instructions, work individually and as a team, and use their creativity to complete their culinary creations.

Chef Kids does not operate as a food service or restaurant program. Food is used as an educational medium for creative assembly and culinary learning.

Students do not consume the food during the school class. Instead, the focus is on the educational process, creativity, teamwork, and learning how the project can be recreated at home with a parent or adult.

When appropriate, instructors explain the techniques and steps students can use to recreate similar projects at home.

Every class is different, hands-on, creative, and educational  because at Chef Kids, we believe that learning can be delicious!
