A 19-year-old kid and some coconspirators hacked into DraftKings which is a sports betting app. The attack was called a credential stuffing attack. The Hacker used old data breach information to gain access into 60,000 accounts on DraftKings obtaining $600,000, emptying 1,600 accounts. To protect yourself from this you should change your passwords often and especially after a data breach.

This tool called the Flipper is gaining traction in the hacking world. This device has many functions like a remote control that can even tap into many signals, even credit cards. The newest issue people are finding is a pop-up attack on iPhone running IOS 17. When someone walks by and scans your iPhone whit the Flipper device your iPhone will become unusable with a flood of connect to Bluetooth messages. It is hard to protect yourself from an in person cyber-attack, but suggestions are to turn off your device in condensed crowds and keep your phone in a secure place.
