Cheer is an American sport television docuseries airing on Netflix starting in January 2020.[1] The six-part series follows the nationally ranked forty-member Navarro College Bulldogs Cheer Team from Corsicana, Texas, under the direction of coach Monica Aldama, as they prepare to compete in the National Cheerleading Championship held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida.[2][3] The episodes focus especially on five individual Cheer Team members and include elements of the history of cheerleading, including the formation of the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA).[4]

Director Greg Whiteley came across competitive cheerleading while filming for his football television series Last Chance U.[9] He was struck by the cheerleaders' athleticism and highly competitive drive.[9]

On Rotten Tomatoes the series holds an approval rating of 96% based on 23 reviews, with an average of 7.75/10. The website's critics consensus reads: "With an inspirational troupe of teens and willingness to engage in the tougher trials facing the sport today, Cheer perfectly captures the highs and lows of what it takes to be a cheerleader."[13] On Metacritic, it has a weighted average score of 81 out of 100, based on seven critics, indicating "universal acclaim".[14]

We are looking for all around strong advanced skilled cheerleaders. Our team is a traditional coed team made up of 8-10 partners {1 girl/1 guy}. We focus a lot on partner stunting, basket tosses and pyramid building. You need to come with some coed stunt experience. All girls must fly.

Built in 2013, the California Baptist University Cheer Gym is home to CBU's elite cheerleading team. With 18-foot mirrors, full 54x42 matted cheer floor and a 40-foot Tumble Trak, complete with twisting spotting belt, the Cheer Gym gives the Lancers the cutting edge to stay at the top of cheerleading competition. Welcome to Cheer Extreme Raleigh, we are glad you found us. Cheer Extreme is the largest program in North Carolina with a reputation as one of the most well recognized programs in the world. Cheer Extreme serves over 1,000 athletes in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Maryland, and Illinois. We offer both Full Year and Half Year All Star cheerleading programs, as well as recreational tumbling camps, track out camps, and summer camps. We are most known for our All-Star program, where cheerleading combines tumbling, elite stunting, dancing, and conditioning to teach goal setting and team work.

CEA Raleigh became our second home 3 years ago. We were new to the cheer industry and had 3 of our daughters represent the gym on different teams. One of the first things that stood out to us immediately was the owner, Kelly Helton, and her staff. Kelly knew the name of every single athlete that
