Rules and game play
What happens if I do something wrong?
What happens if I notice my opponent do something wrong?
My opponent and I disagree about how a rule works. What do I do?
This is a fun gathering with the focus on friendly competition.
Magic is a complicated game and we'll use the Regular Rules Enforcement Level to guide how to deal with things going wrong.
When you're playing or drafting, if something happens and you're not sure how to handle it, put your hand up and call, "JUDGE!". We'll help you work out what needs to happen to fix the problem. Please do not worry about getting you or your opponent in trouble as our priority is helping you understand what's happened, fixing the problem and getting you back to playing.
Newer players are often worried that if they do something wrong, they might get disqualified. This is exceptionally rare and reserved for things like actively cheating, being abusive or stealing things. Accidentally tapping the wrong mana or missing a trigger will not get you in trouble - call a judge and we'll sort it for you.
It is important that all players know that when help is needed or something goes wrong, calling a judge is the best course of action.
Prizes
If I do the War of the Spark draft, do I win War of the Spark boosters?
In short, no. You'll win a credit note of the equivalent value to a regular booster pack. If you win multiple rounds, you could choose to put your prizes together to get a more expensive booster. This approach keeps the price of the draft down and gives you flexibility over what your prize is. Check the picture below for some of our many options.
