Check In Photo is a photo fair launched in 2023, co-hosted by photography-focused publisher mug and experimental art space gallery the C, and organized by pic n qhek.
Check In Photo builds upon the classical format of the hotel art fair by incorporating the perspectives and concerns of contemporary artists, presenting a new, hybrid platform. It aims to be a modern art initiative that values artistic and cultural diversity while emphasizing participation and interaction.

Rooted in the unique locality of Jeju, Check In Photo is held in the Tapdong Art District—an area that offers stunning views of both Hallasan Mountain and the ocean. By embracing the regional landscape, the fair positions itself as a place-specific art event.

As a participatory photo fair, Check In Photo welcomes not only independent galleries from overseas but also individual artists and collectives. International galleries, independent publishers, and bookstores are also encouraged to join, alongside Jeju-based art spaces, with the goal of fostering long-term, sustainable networks among artists and art professionals.

Open to all mediums based in photography, Check In Photo seeks to be a platform where diverse practices and voices can be shared. The fair is envisioned as a vibrant space for experiencing and exchanging art and culture on the beautiful island of Jeju.
