Three things worth knowing

Target will replace a lost GiftCard — with the original receipt. Call 1-800-544-2943. A partly used card is replaced for its remaining balance. That makes Target unusual; most retailers won't replace a lost card at all. Keep the receipt.

A Target GiftCard is not the same as a prepaid Visa bought at Target. The prepaid Visa is checked at mybalancenow.com, not target.com. Check the logo on the card.
