Most importantly, many opportunities to socialise with fellow agents!

A city rebuilding

Christchurch is a very compact and pedestrian-friendly central city with many opportunities to explore on foot, bike and scooter. There are many new buildings to explore, including the award-winning Tūranga library. Laneways feature prominently, and there has been a lot of effort to incorporate nature in the rebuild. There are many stunning murals hidden around the city. You may even catch a glimpse of the rapid-growing $680 million Te Kaha stadium!

Following the 22 February 2011 earthquake - 80% of the central city was demolished back to empty gravel sections - it literally became a city of erased memories in the years following the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence.

Since then, and with the investment of over $50 billion New Zealand dollars into the greater city, Christchurch has become a testament to building new memories on those that were lost.
