Biography

Chayan Mondal was born in Khulna, Bangladesh, in 1992. He received Optus-Curtin Ph.D. Scholarship Award in 2022 and now pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Curtin University, Australia. Mr. Chayan acquired an M.Sc. engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) from the Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET) in 2022, scoring a CGPA of 4.00 out of 4.00. He also completed his B.Sc. engineering degree from the same University (KUET) in 2015. Mr. Mondal scored a CGPA of 3.84 (out of 4.00) in his graduation result and ranked 4th out of 117 students in the class. He is currently on study leave from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU), where he worked as an Assistant Professor with the EEE department. He also supervised several undergraduate students on the implementation of bio-signal processing-based assistive devices for physically disabled people, medical image classification, and segmentation. He has published some journal papers and international conference papers on image processing and bio-signal processing.
