Caitlin Jarvis

I am a graduate student in the Department of Biology, Geology, and Environmental Science. I became interested in beekeeping and pollinators last summer and decided to make a career shift to work with pollinators.

Dr. DeAnna E. Beasley is an assistant professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and is the PI of the Integrative Ecology Lab. She received her PhD in 2013 at the University of South Carolina. Her research broadly explores the impacts of environmental change on development, behavior and physiology in insect model systems. Human-driven change is of particular interest due to the large scale in which humans have modified the environment and the potential effects on populations’ evolutionary trajectory. Her current research explores the implications of urbanization on insect development and biodiversity. Additionally, she is interested in the integration of social and ecological processes to understand urban biodiversity and the development of resilient cities.

Alexandra I. Zelin is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at the University Of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She received her PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Akron. Her current research takes an intersectional approach to studying sexual harassment, sexual assault, and experiences in the workplace of people with diverse identities (e.g., performance management, personnel selection).
