An adventure race is a multisport, team-based, off-road endurance event that requires navigation through a course of checkpoints (CPs) using a combination of disciplines like trekking and mountain biking.
Teams will have 10 hours to retrieve as many CPs as possible before returning to the finish
To be determined, but it will take place within a 30 minute drive of downtown Chattanooga.
There will be a "competitive" division where GPS devices will NOT be allowed. Navigation in this division must be done using the provided maps and a compass. However, there will be a "non-competitive" division where teams can use their phone, watch, etc. to navigate the course.
Chatt-AR-nooga will be put on by a team of people with over fifty years of adventure racing experience and decades of race directing as well. All proceeds from the race will go to a to-be-determined charity.
Yes, racers must be at least 12 years old on the day of the race.
