Chatsill is a Chrome extension that shows your live stream stats inside the YouTube studio pop-out chat. This page explains what the extension does with your information.
Chatsill works fully inside your browser.
We do not collect, store or sell any of your data.
We do not have a server. Nothing is sent to us.
There is no tracking and no analytics.
When you open your live control room in YouTube studio, studio asks YouTube for your stream's numbers, such as viewers and views. Chatsill makes a copy of how studio asks for these numbers. Then the pop-out chat window repeats the same request every few seconds and shows the result in a small bar.
Your stream stats: Concurrent viewers, views, average view duration, chat rate and likes. These are read from YouTube's reply and shown on your screen. They are not saved anywhere.
Your sign-in details for YouTube studio: To ask for the stats, Chatsill reuses the sign-in details that studio itself attaches to its requests. These details are kept only in your browser's temporary memory. They are sent only to YouTube, the same way studio sends them. They are removed when you close the browser. We never see them.
Your settings: Which stats you want to see, compact mode, and whether the bar is hidden. These are saved on your own device so the extension remembers your choice.
We do not collect your name, email address or channel details.
We do not read, save or send your chat messages.
We do not track which pages you visit.
We do not use cookies of our own.
The extension talks only to YouTube (studio.youtube.com), using your own signed-in session. It does not talk to any other website or server. We do not share, sell or transfer any data to anyone.
Stats are shown on screen and not stored.
The copy of studio's requests stays in temporary browser memory and is cleared when you close the browser.
Your settings stay on your device until you change them or remove the extension.
If you remove Chatsill from Chrome, everything it saved is deleted.
Storage: to save your settings and to keep the temporary copy of studio's requests.
Access to studio.youtube.com: to show the bar in the pop-out chat and to read studio's stats requests. The extension does not run on any other site.
Chatsill's use of your information follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Chatsill is an independent tool. It is not made, supported or endorsed by YouTube or Google.
If we change how the extension handles information, we will update this page.
If you have questions about this policy, please contact us via the support link provided on the Chrome Web Store listing.
