2. About ChatPilot
ChatPilot is a productivity application that helps users monitor selected messaging activity through Android's Notification Listener Service. The app processes notification content locally on the device to identify events that match user-defined contacts or keywords and provides reminders or alerts based on those matches.
ChatPilot is not affiliated with WhatsApp, Meta, Telegram, Signal, or any other messaging platform.
3. Information We Collect
Depending on the features you use, ChatPilot may collect the following information.
A. Notification Data
When Notification Access is granted, ChatPilot can receive notification information generated by other applications.
This may include:
Sender or contact name
Notification title
Notification text
Time notification was received
Application package name
Message previews (only when exposed through Android notifications)
Notification information is processed primarily on your device to provide the app's monitoring features.
We do not intentionally collect the full contents of conversations beyond what Android exposes through notification previews.
B. User Preferences
The app stores settings such as:
Tracked contacts
Tracked keywords
Detection rules
App preferences
Notification preferences
Premium feature settings
These settings are stored locally and may also be synchronized with our backend if cloud synchronization is enabled.
C. Subscription Information
If you purchase ChatPilot Premium through Google Play Billing, Google processes your payment.
We receive only the information necessary to verify your subscription status, such as:
Purchase token
Subscription status
Expiration date
Product identifier
We never receive your credit card or banking information.
D. Device Information
We may collect limited device information, including:
Android version
App version
Device model
Anonymous installation identifier
Crash diagnostics
This information helps improve application reliability.
E. Analytics
ChatPilot may collect anonymous usage analytics, including:

Analytics do not intentionally include the contents of private messages.
4. Permissions We Request
Notification Access
This permission allows ChatPilot to monitor notifications generated by other applications.
This permission is essential for the core functionality of ChatPilot.
Without Notification Access, major features of the application will not function.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Used to send reminders, alerts, and monitoring notifications.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Allows ChatPilot to restart its background monitoring after the device reboots.
FOREGROUND SERVICE
Allows continuous monitoring while complying with Android background execution requirements.
INTERNET
Required for:
Subscription verification
Cloud synchronization (if enabled)
Bug reporting
Analytics
Checking for updates
5. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information only to:
Monitor notifications selected by the user
Detect tracked contacts
Detect tracked keywords

Notification contents are not intentionally stored in the cloud unless a feature explicitly requires it and the user chooses to enable that feature.

19. Google Play Compliance Statement
ChatPilot requests Notification Access solely to provide its core user-requested functionality.
Notification data is processed for features explicitly initiated by the user, including monitoring selected contacts, detecting user-defined keywords, and generating alerts.
Notification Access is not used for advertising, user profiling, or the sale of personal data.
Users may revoke Notification Access at any time through Android Settings.
