While legal speak always sounds scary and confusing, rest assured we really don't want your information. To summarize below, certain things are included to help debug and fix problems with the app, and in order do do that, it needs to report information about your device and where errors occurred.
There are other aspects of data collection that allow us to understand which features of the app are most used or where things can be improved. In some cases, such as when adding a new path, we may provide an opt-in dialog to share the name of the path being created. This can allow us to crowd source paths we may not have thought of and provide those as part of the core package. If you choose to share this information, the text entered in the dialog and parent/child relationships may eventually make its way into a database as a statistic where we can try and make sense of them. Alternatively, you can e-mail us or provide feedback within the app.

Whenever you use this Service, in a case of an error in the app, data and information is collected (through third party products). This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. The information is filtered and processed by firebase, so in most cases we don't see specific items like IP address, but general geographic information is recorded.
When navigating through ChatPaths, general use about curated paths is identified. This helps us see which areas of our creations are most widely used. This can help us design collections that get your kids where they want to be sooner. Filters are in place to exclude user generated collections. When creating collections or paths, ChatPaths uses an opt-in model for suggesting new paths to us. If you do nothing, no information is transmitted about paths you create. This allows a way to conveniently make suggestions without having to go through a separate process. All this is processed through firebase and generalized into events across all users.
