ChatMuse – AI Keyboard Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 28, 2026
ChatMuse – AI Keyboard (“ChatMuse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed when you use our iOS keyboard and related features, including AI rewriting, AI replies, proofreading, frequently used phrases, clipboard management, and translation.
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at duyulong84@gmail.com.
1. Information We Process
1.1 Text Submitted to AI Features
When you actively select text and request an AI feature, such as rewriting, generating a reply, proofreading, or translation, the text you submit is transmitted for processing through the OpenAI API.
The information processed may include:
The text you explicitly submit.
The AI task or instruction associated with your request.
The resulting AI-generated text.
We process this information to provide the AI feature you request. We do not intentionally transmit all ordinary keystrokes to our AI service.
Please avoid submitting passwords, payment information, confidential business information, or other sensitive personal information unless necessary for your intended task.
1.2 Ordinary Keyboard Input
ChatMuse provides keyboard functionality for entering text into other apps and text fields.
Ordinary text entered through the keyboard is intended for the text field in which you are typing. We do not intentionally collect or transmit ordinary keystrokes for advertising, behavioral profiling, or unrelated purposes.
Some online features require an internet connection and the iOS “Allow Full Access” permission. Enabling this permission allows the keyboard extension to access network functionality. It does not, by itself, mean that all text entered through the keyboard is transmitted to us.
1.3 Clipboard
The clipboard feature is designed to store and manage clipboard content locally on your device.
Clipboard content is not intentionally uploaded to our servers merely because you copy or manage it using the clipboard feature. If you explicitly submit clipboard text to an AI feature, the submitted text is processed as described in Section 1.1.
Clipboard access and system notifications may vary depending on your iOS version and how you interact with the app.
1.4 Frequently Used Phrases
Frequently used phrases and shortcuts are designed to be stored locally on your device. They are not intentionally uploaded for cloud synchronization.
If you explicitly submit a stored phrase to an AI feature, the submitted text will be processed as described in Section 1.1.
1.5 Account and Advertising Information
ChatMuse does not require an account or registration to use its features.
The current version does not integrate third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not intentionally collect advertising identifiers, contacts, or precise location information for the purposes described in this Policy.
Technical information may nevertheless be processed by network infrastructure or third-party service providers when necessary to transmit and process AI requests.
2. How We Use Information
We process information as necessary to:
Provide AI rewriting, reply generation, proofreading, and translation.
Return the results of your requests.
Maintain the security and reliability of the service.
Address technical errors and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not intentionally use submitted text for advertising, behavioral profiling, or unrelated marketing.
3. Third-Party AI Processing
OpenAI API
ChatMuse uses the OpenAI API to process text submitted to AI features.
When you actively request an AI feature, the submitted text and information necessary to fulfill the request are transmitted to OpenAI for processing.
According to OpenAI's API data controls documentation, data submitted through the API is not used to train or improve OpenAI models by default unless the customer explicitly opts in to share it.
OpenAI may retain certain API data in abuse monitoring logs for up to 30 days by default, subject to applicable exceptions and retention arrangements. Accordingly, the fact that ChatMuse does not maintain a persistent history of AI requests does not mean that all information is immediately deleted from every system involved in processing.
For additional information, review OpenAI's official documentation:
https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/guides/your-data
OpenAI's processing of information is also subject to its applicable service terms and privacy practices.
4. Data Storage and Retention
On-Device Data
Clipboard content and frequently used phrases are designed to remain on your device. You can manage or delete this content using the available app features. Data remaining on your device may also be affected by your device settings and whether you uninstall the app.
AI Requests
ChatMuse is designed not to maintain a persistent history of AI request text on its own servers after processing is complete.
However, AI requests may involve temporary processing by servers, network infrastructure, and third-party service providers. OpenAI's retention practices described in Section 3 may apply.
We do not promise immediate deletion from systems operated independently by third parties.
5. Data Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the service to protect information processed by ChatMuse, including limiting AI submissions to text actively submitted by users.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
You should avoid submitting sensitive information through AI features unless necessary and appropriate for your intended task.
6. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You can choose whether to use AI features. If you do not want text to be processed by OpenAI, do not submit that text to an AI feature.
You can also:
Stop using ChatMuse or its AI features.
Manage or delete locally stored clipboard content and frequently used phrases.
Disable the keyboard or its “Allow Full Access” permission in iOS Settings, although some online features may no longer work.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.
We will handle requests concerning information within our control as required by applicable law. Information held independently by third-party providers may remain subject to their own retention practices and legal obligations.
7. California Privacy Notice
This section applies to California residents to the extent the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to our processing of personal information.
Depending on how you use ChatMuse, information processed may include:
Identifiers and technical information: Such as IP addresses or request metadata, if processed during network communication.
User-provided content: Text you explicitly submit to an AI feature.
Generated content: AI-generated text returned in response to your request.
We process information to provide requested features, maintain service security, troubleshoot technical issues where applicable, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable California law.
Where applicable, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete certain personal information, and to exercise other rights provided by law. These rights are subject to applicable statutory limitations and exceptions.

ChatMuse is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account registration.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through an AI request, contact us at duyulong84@gmail.com.
9. International Processing
OpenAI and other service providers involved in delivering the service may process information in countries other than the country where you reside. Data protection laws may differ between jurisdictions.
Applicable safeguards will be used where required by law.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to ChatMuse, our data practices, or applicable law.
When material changes are made, we will provide notice as required by applicable law. The revised Policy will include an updated effective date.
