The extension operates entirely within the user's browser on chatgpt.com. Its sole purpose is to provide a convenient control for switching ChatGPT between dark and light themes.
The extension may read and modify ChatGPT's locally stored theme preference in the user's browser solely to provide this functionality.
The extension does not collect or access ChatGPT conversations, account credentials, browsing history, personal communications, location information, analytics data, financial information, or other personal information.
No user data is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.

ChatGPT is operated by OpenAI. ChatGPT Dark Mode Toggle is an independent browser extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
