ChatEngine ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the ChatEngine mobile application ("the App").
Please note that the App was formerly known as ChatHub AI and has been officially rebranded and renamed as ChatEngine. This Policy seamlessly supersedes all previous privacy terms associated with ChatHub AI, ensuring absolute continuity of your data protection rights.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We collect the following types of information when you use ChatEngine:
Prompts and Uploaded Media:
Text prompts that you input to interact with AI models for conversation, image generation, or video generation;
Images you upload for image-to-video generation, image editing, image style transformation, or visual question answering;
Generated images and videos produced by AI in response to your prompts.
Account Information: Such as your Apple ID (for in-app purchases or subscription management).
Purchase Information: Subscription status, Credit Pack transaction records (Order ID, SKU, purchased Credit amount), and current Credit balance.
Support Requests: When you contact us for help or feedback.
Device Information: Such as model, operating system, language, and country;
App Usage Data: Including feature interactions, generation task type (image vs. video), Credit consumption events, session length, and crash logs;
Anonymous Analytics: For performance and improvement purposes.
Note: We do not collect sensitive personal information such as your contact list, precise location, health, or biometric data.
We use your information to:
Provide and improve the App's AI services, including text, image, and video generation;
Deliver AI-generated text responses, images, and videos;
Process subscriptions and in-app purchases (including Credit Packs) through Apple's system;
Track and manage your Credit balance and consumption;
Analyze usage trends to enhance user experience;
Respond to customer support requests;
Comply with applicable laws and App Store policies.
To power our interactive AI features, ChatEngine integrates with independent, leading third-party artificial intelligence infrastructure providers. Depending on the feature used, your text prompts, uploaded images, or generation requests may be securely transmitted via API gateways to the following specific corporate entities:
OpenAI, LLC (Based in San Francisco, California, USA) — Providing conversational and generative text models;
Anthropic, PBC (Based in San Francisco, California, USA) — Providing secure and high-context conversation models;
Google LLC (Based in Mountain View, California, USA) — Providing multimodal text, image, and translation models;
xAI Corp. (Based in Burlingame, California, USA) — Providing conversational intelligence and analysis services.
Additional third-party AI infrastructure providers may be used to power text-to-video and image-to-video generation services and other features. We may update this list from time to time as our service providers change.
When you submit a prompt, upload an image, or request video generation, the data is securely transmitted via API to these specific infrastructure providers to compute and return immediate outputs.
In compliance with platform safety standards, submitted inputs and AI-generated outputs (including videos) may be processed through automated safety filters operated by us or these providers to detect and block harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content.
Image and Video Data: When you upload an image for video generation or editing, the image is transmitted to third-party AI providers for processing. These providers process your image solely to generate the requested output and are contractually prohibited from using your image data to train public foundation models.
No Commercial Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information, prompt history, uploaded images, or generated videos to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
All listed third-party AI corporations are required to handle your data in accordance with their respective security protocols and developer enterprise privacy terms. Under these professional terms, they are strictly prohibited from using your ad-hoc data payloads to train public models. We recommend reviewing their standard policies for further details.
We retain minimal user data only for as long as necessary to provide and improve the App.
Text Prompts and AI Text Outputs: Not permanently stored unless needed for debugging, safety monitoring, analytics, or service improvement (strictly in anonymized form).
Uploaded Images: Temporarily retained during the generation process, then deleted within 30 days unless flagged for safety review or required for debugging.
Generated Images and Videos: Delivered to your device and may be cached on our servers for up to 7 days for re-download purposes. After 7 days, content is automatically purged unless retained (in anonymized form) for debugging, safety monitoring, or analytics.
Purchase and Credit Records: Retained for as long as necessary to comply with tax, accounting, and audit requirements (typically 5–7 years, depending on jurisdiction).
You may request immediate deletion of your uploaded media or generated content at any time by contacting us at the email below.
ChatEngine is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will promptly delete it.
AI video generation and image generation features may produce content not suitable for younger users. We recommend that users under 17 use these features only with appropriate adult guidance.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. However, no online service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute data security.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access, correct, or delete your personal data;
Withdraw consent or object to certain processing;
Request data portability (where applicable);
Request deletion of your uploaded images or generated videos.

Since ChatEngine operates globally, your data may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We ensure that such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
Video Generation Data: Your image uploads and video generation requests may be processed by third-party AI infrastructure providers located in various jurisdictions. For users located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or other regions with cross-border data transfer restrictions, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal mechanisms to ensure adequate protection of your data.
The App may include links to external websites or AI services. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those third parties.
In certain jurisdictions (including China, the European Union, and California), AI-generated images and videos may be subject to labeling requirements. We may add watermarks, metadata tags, or other identifiers to AI-generated outputs to indicate that the content was created using AI. You agree not to remove, obscure, or alter such labels.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected with a new "Effective Date." Continued use of the App after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
