CHAT stands for the Christian Homeschool Association for Teens. It is an organization for homeschooled teens (and graduates through age 20) in the Fort Wayne area. Its purpose is to promote friendship, fun, service, and leadership opportunities in a Christ-honoring manner. Its membership is open to all homeschooled teens. CHAT does not promote or express the beliefs of any particular church or group or engage in spiritual training.

The behavior of all students participating in CHAT events should reflect a desire to live and treat each other in a Christlike manner.
All CHAT activity participants are expected to treat others with kindness and respect. CHAT does not tolerate any form of bullying.
Dating - A majority of CHAT participants are not allowed to date; therefore, dating shall not be encouraged among CHAT members. All members should respect the decisions of other member families in this regard.
Physical Touch - All touch occurring at CHAT events shall be innocent and respectful. Hand holding, an arm around a shoulder, brief hugs, and similar levels of affection are allowed.
Language - Attendees of CHAT events shall refrain from using profanity, taking the Lord's name in vain, or using suggestive language.
Social Media - All CHAT members are expected to follow the CHAT rules when engaging with CHAT on social media. And social media posts which do not follow these rules will be removed.
Dress Code - If a dress code is specified for an event, all attendees are expected to follow that dress code and modesty rules.
If a teen is behaving inappropriately, a chaperone will ask them to cease. If the teen continues in the inappropriate behavior, their parents will be contacted and they will be asked to leave the function.
