The workshop consists of a full day technical program , tenatively structured as follows:
- 0900-1030. Welcome and introduction. Scoping chatbots for social good. Salient examples on chatbots for autonomy, competence, and social relations.
- 1030-1100. Break
- 1100-1230. Position papers. Plenary presentations, groups for feedback and reflection.
- 1230-1330. Lunch
- 1330-1500. Opportunities and challenges. Group session brain-storming and exploring how chatbots can generate beneficial social impact.
- 1500-1530. Break
- 1530-1600. Guiding research and practice. Plenary session on how to change design practice towards a social good perspective. Identify industrial efforts and research priorities. Future work.
To facilitate collaboration and exploration, the program includes iterations of group and plenary sessions, and contains a mix of prepared presentations, joint reflection, and collaborative work.
