Message App: SMS Messenger ("the App") is a smart messaging application developed by KIYANA FASHION that allows users to send and receive SMS messages, schedule messages, customize themes, use swipe actions, and search conversations.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in our Android app in simple terms. Please read it carefully.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Message App: SMS Messenger available on Google Play. It describes the information we may access or process, how we use it, and your rights. The app is designed primarily for local processing on your device. You do not need to create an account or provide personal information to use core features. Any data recovery or management happens locally on your device.
We do not require you to provide personal information like name, email, or phone number to use the app. Most data stays on your device.
The app may access or process the following types of information only as needed for its features:
SMS and messaging data: Messages you send or receive, drafts, scheduled messages, pinned or archived conversations.
Contacts: Names and phone numbers from your device's contacts (with your permission) to show friendly names in chats.
Device information: Basic details like phone state for SMS functionality.
Usage data: Anonymous analytics events (e.g., app opens, feature usage) via Firebase to improve the app.
Crash and performance data: Automatic reports if the app crashes or has issues.
Media and attachments: Photos, GIFs, or files you choose to attach (processed locally where possible).
We do not collect sensitive personal data beyond what is necessary for SMS messaging.
For users in the EU/EEA, we rely on these legal bases where applicable:
Your consent (e.g., for certain permissions or analytics).
Performance of a contract (providing the messaging service you request).
Legitimate interests (improving app stability, security, and features).
You can withdraw consent at any time by changing device permissions.
The app requests the following permissions only when needed. You can manage or revoke them anytime in your device settings.
SEND_SMS, READ_SMS, WRITE_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS: To send, read, manage, and receive SMS messages directly from your device.
RECEIVE_WAP_PUSH: To handle MMS notifications and related push messages.
READ_CONTACTS: To display contact names and photos in your message list for a better experience.
READ_PHONE_STATE: To check SIM and network status for reliable messaging.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM: To schedule messages at exact times you set.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To show you notifications for new messages, delivery updates, or scheduled reminders.
WAKE_LOCK: To keep the device awake briefly while processing important notifications.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: To restart scheduled messages and services after your phone reboots.
android.hardware.telephony (feature): Declared to indicate telephony support (not strictly required).
We only use these permissions for the core messaging functions you expect. No permission is used for unrelated purposes.
Most of your messages, contacts, and settings are stored locally on your device using secure local databases (Room/SQLite).
We do not store your full message history on our servers.
Where cloud features are optionally used (e.g., synchronization via Firebase Firestore), data is protected with industry-standard measures.
We implement reasonable security practices, but no system is completely risk-free. We do not promise 100% security.
We use the following libraries and SDKs. Each has its own privacy practices:
Glide: Loads and displays profile pictures, media previews, GIFs, stickers, and thumbnails. Glide on GitHub
Lottie: Shows smooth animations from JSON files.
Event Bus: Enables communication between different parts of the app (e.g., updating chat screens).
Shimmer: Displays loading animations.
Room (SQLite): Local database for storing messages, drafts, etc.
WorkManager: Handles background tasks like scheduled messages and retries.
Firebase services (Analytics, Firestore, Crashlytics, Messaging): For analytics, optional cloud sync, crash reporting, and push notifications. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
Hilt: Dependency injection framework.
Google libphonenumber: Validates and formats international phone numbers.
Paging: Loads large message lists efficiently without using too much memory.
Material, ConstraintLayout, AppCompat, etc.: Standard Android UI components from Google. See Google Privacy Policy.
We choose these libraries for performance and reliability. They process data only as described.
The app shows ads using AdMob, AdX, and Facebook (Meta) Audience Network. These services may collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, and usage data to show relevant ads.

You can limit ad personalization through your device settings (Google Advertising ID or similar).
The app does not use traditional web cookies. It may use similar technologies like device identifiers or advertising IDs for ads and analytics, managed through the third-party services above.
We process data primarily on your device. Any data sent to third parties (Firebase, ad networks) is for the purposes listed (analytics, ads, notifications, crashes). We do not sell your personal data.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
Analytics and crash data are retained by third parties according to their policies (usually for limited periods).
Uninstalling the app removes most associated local data.
The app offers in-app purchases and paid subscriptions.
All payments are handled securely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as card information or passwords.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing date. Manage or cancel anytime in your Google Play account settings. You keep premium features until the current period ends.
Google may share limited, non-personal information (e.g., subscription status) with us to enable features.
Refunds and cancellations are handled through Google Play according to their rules.
We do not share your purchase information with third parties except as required by Google.
All purchases follow Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals as this is a mobile app. You can manage tracking preferences through device settings and ad network opt-outs.
Some data processed by Google (Firebase) or Meta may be transferred outside your country, including to the United States. These companies apply appropriate safeguards. See their privacy policies for details.
We do not engage in or support malware distribution or network abuse. The app is built to respect Android security guidelines.
The app may contain links to external sites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.
The app does not target or attract children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have such data, contact us immediately.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request to protect rights, safety, or property.
We may update this policy occasionally. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the new policy. We encourage you to review it periodically.
