Privacy Policy
Last Updated: May 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Messenger SMS Messages (the "App") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our SMS messaging app.
Antheia Tools ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is designed to be clear and transparent, in line with Google Play policies, GDPR (for EU users), CCPA/CPRA (for California residents), and CalOPPA.
By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Messenger SMS Messages is an Android app that lets you send and receive SMS and MMS messages, manage conversations, schedule messages, and use other messaging tools.
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the core features. All your conversations and data are stored locally on your device. Any data recovery operations are performed locally on your device.
This Privacy Policy covers the App available on Google Play.
We do not collect any personal data that directly identifies you (such as your name, phone number, or email address) through the App itself.
We may collect non-personal, anonymous usage information such as:
App feature usage and engagement
Crash reports and error logs
Device information (model, OS version, etc.) for performance improvement
All SMS/MMS messages, contacts you interact with, and conversation data are stored locally on your device using Room Database and never leave your device through our application unless you explicitly send a message via your mobile network.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we rely on the following legal bases:
Legitimate interests: To improve app stability, fix crashes, and provide better user experience.
Consent: For non-essential permissions (such as notifications) and analytics.
Contractual necessity: To provide the core SMS messaging functionality you request.
You can withdraw consent at any time by changing your device settings.
The App requires certain permissions to function as a full-featured SMS messenger. Here is a detailed explanation:
SMS Access Permissions
READ_SMS: To display your incoming and existing SMS messages in the app.
WRITE_SMS: To mark messages as read (only when set as default SMS app).
SEND_SMS: To send scheduled and manual SMS messages using your SIM card.
RECEIVE_SMS: To receive and show new incoming messages in real-time.
SMS_RECEIVED Broadcast: To listen for incoming SMS events.
Contacts Access
READ_CONTACTS: To show contact names and photos in your message threads for better context.
Call & Phone State
READ_PHONE_STATE: To detect SIM card and network status for proper messaging behavior, especially on dual-SIM devices.
Notifications
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: To show real-time alerts for new incoming messages.
System & Device Permissions
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: To check internet connectivity for features like push notifications.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: To restart scheduled messages and background tasks after device reboot.
WAKE_LOCK: To ensure scheduled messages are sent reliably even when the device is in sleep mode.
You can manage or revoke these permissions anytime through your device settings. Note that revoking core SMS permissions may limit the App’s functionality.
All your messages, scheduled messages, pinned conversations, and archived chats are stored locally on your device using secure local database technologies (Room).
We do not upload your personal messages to our servers. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect the App, but we cannot guarantee 100% security of data stored on your device.
We use the following third-party libraries and SDKs. Each has its own privacy policy:
Firebase Services (by Google):
Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous usage data and crash reports.
Firebase Crashlytics: Helps us identify and fix app crashes.
Firebase Messaging: Sends push notifications about updates and new features. Firebase Privacy Policy
Android-SMSMMS (by KlinkerApps): Used for handling SMS and MMS sending/receiving. Library details
Libphonenumber (by Google): Validates and formats international phone numbers. Google Libphonenumber
Glide: Loads and displays images efficiently. Glide Privacy
Hilt (Dagger): Dependency injection for better code structure. Hilt Documentation
Lottie (Airbnb): For smooth animations. Lottie Privacy
Shimmer, CircleImageView, SDP/SSP (Intuit): UI scaling and loading effects.
We do not share your personal data with these third parties beyond what is necessary for the technical function of the SDK.
The App displays third-party advertisements using:
Google AdMob / AdX
Facebook (Meta) Audience Network
These ad networks may collect anonymous data for showing relevant ads.
We use Firebase Analytics for anonymous app usage analytics.
The App does not use traditional web cookies. However, third-party SDKs (Firebase, ad networks) may use similar technologies like device identifiers for analytics and advertising.
We process very limited data:
Anonymous app usage and crash data via Firebase.
Device-level permissions for SMS functionality.
Local message data (never leaves your device via the App).
Local data (messages) remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
Anonymous analytics data is retained by Firebase according to their policies. Uninstalling the App removes all local data associated with it.
The App offers in-app purchases and subscriptions.
All payments and subscriptions are handled safely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, store, or see your payment details such as card information or Google account passwords.
Subscriptions:
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing date. You can manage or cancel anytime from your Google Play account settings. You will continue to enjoy premium features until the end of the current billing period.
Purchase Information:
Google may share limited, non-personal information (such as subscription status) with us to unlock premium features.
Refunds & Cancellations:
All refund requests must be made through Google Play following their rules.
Third-Party Sharing:
We do not share your purchase information with any third parties except as required by Google for payment processing.
All in-app purchases follow Google Play Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
You have the right to:
Access your data

We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals as we do not track users across websites or apps in that manner.
Anonymous analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States by Google (Firebase). We rely on Google’s standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions where applicable.
We take reasonable measures to prevent misuse of the App. We do not engage in or support malware distribution.
The App may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.
The App is not targeted at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date and, where appropriate, through the App or Google Play listing.
