Welcome to my web page! I am the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade P.A.S.S. (Positive Approach to Student Success) Coach / exceptional education teacher at Simpson Elementary School. This will be my 4th consecutive year with Simpson County Schools (6th year in Simpson County), and thirteenth year teaching exceptional education (yes, this is my second career). When I am not in school, I love running, reading, and spending time with my family. I have been married for almost twenty two years to my amazing husband, Doug Vernon and we have two sons who are eighteen and sixteen. Our twenty year old is attending Murray State University on a baseball scholarship (he pitches) and our seventeen year old is a senior at South Warren High School, in Bowling Green, KY. I love teaching elementary student and strive to give them the support they need to be successful within the classroom.
