Effective date: 30 October 2026

ChartScapes is a browser extension that adds visual effects to TradingView charts and to other HTTPS trading sites that you choose to enable.

Information ChartScapes handles

- ChartScapes reads the address of the active tab when you open its popup so it can help you enable the extension on that site. If you choose another site, Chrome asks you to grant access to that site's origin.

- On an enabled chart page, ChartScapes inspects chart elements and samples a few canvas pixels locally to position and display the visual effect and adjust it for light or dark chart backgrounds. This processing stays in your browser. ChartScapes does not record your trades, orders, account balances, passwords, or browsing activity.

- ChartScapes stores your selected scene, appearance controls, pause state, community display preference, and related settings in Chrome's local extension storage. Any site access you grant is managed by Chrome.

The version submitted with this policy does not have an active Pro verification service. Personal video uploads and subscription activation are unavailable in this version.

Sharing and external links

ChartScapes does not send chart content, enabled site addresses, or settings to the developer or to an analytics or advertising service. The optional Discord community link opens Discord only when you click it; Discord then handles your visit under its own policies.

ChartScapes does not sell user data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending. Its use of information received through Chrome APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your choices and retention

You can turn off ChartScapes, change its settings, or remove site access through Chrome. Settings remain in Chrome's local extension storage until you change or clear them or uninstall the extension. You can contact the developer through the ChartScapes Chrome Web Store Support tab.

If a later version introduces purchases, video uploads, analytics, or other data handling, this policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before those features are released.
