Collaborative for Homelessness Action, Research, and Transformation
The Collaborative for Homelessness Action, Research, and Transformation (CHART) is an inter-institutional collaborative effort to support evidence-based research and practice addressing the complex issue of homelessness in the United States. Developed in the Spring of 2024, CHART is committed to address challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness and is dedicated to transforming knowledge into actionable solutions.
We aim to bridge the gap between research and action by translating insights into tangible strategies. By proposing practical, actionable changes that go beyond surface-level observations, we believe we can positively impact the lives of those affected by homelessness.
Our desire is to contribute to a holistic comprehension of homelessness in the United States through evidence-based research and practice. We foster collaboration between institutions, experts, and disciplines by pooling resources and expertise to enhance the quality and depth of research efforts.
By adopting a punctuated equilibrium approach, we look beyond the incremental changes in homelessness research and pursue transformative solutions to end homelessness.
