Goals & Priorities

My goals for the district are centered around our District goals:

1. Students will be career/college ready via high quality instruction

2. Students and Staff will be physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy.

3. Recruit and retain highly qualified employees

4. Maintain efficient and effective operations.

Other related priorities:

• • • • A floating Holiday, so that employees don’t have to use a vacation day for religious holidays. Other Districts do this, Burbank needs to as well.

      • Continue the work building our Career Technical Education classes, NAF Academies and our relationships with local Community Colleges to have more dual enrollment availability for our students.

      • We need another facilities Use Bond in 2024. The current one, which expires in 2024, has done a lot of work for the district. However, there will always be a need HVAC work and replacement, roofing replacement, technology and safety issues

      • Get A/C’s in our Kitchens, not just swamp coolers.

      • Work with the current administration to strengthen our facilities work force as well as improve working conditions and pay for all classified employees.
