Jayden S. gives us a peek at the cars of the 1950s. Can't you just picture each of these rolling up to the Zuckerman farm to get a glimpse of that famous pig?

Porter M. presented a Wilbur-style Special Award to Gru, "the fatest cat in the world."

Decker M. created an incredibly realistic and detailed adjective spider to describe himself.

JaydenS's abstract spider is every bit as descriptive as Decker's realistic one. Art offers so many different ways to share talent!

Cassey, 6th grade, made this amazing adjective spider. Look at the shading on the spider. Cassey made it with a pen, tissue to smudge, a grey marker, and a white paint marker for highlights. She used very unique adjectives on the legs of the spider. Great job Cassey!

Carter C. also did a fun adjective spider. Great choice of adjectives!

Aiden, a 6th grader, created a very fun adjective spider! I love the googly eyes! Good job Aiden!

Mason in 1st grade, did a great job on his adjective spider. The face is so cute!

Recipes

The Cook brothers made some delicious-looking Kettle Corn - a State Fair tradition!

Christian, Kaden, and Katelyn made Beef Stroganoff from an old fashioned recipe. Looks DELICIOUS!!!!

Emily and Miley made classic fair treats: churros and funnel cakes. Yum!

The Newbold family tried another fair-time classic: cotton candy. Templeton would be salivating!

“I chose to cook a farm meal because I love to cook and bake! I made pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy. I cooked the pot roast overnight in my mom’s crockpot so it would be super tender. I made gravy with the drippings. I also peeled the potatoes, boiled them and mashed them with butter and cream. It was delicious, and fun to learn to make new things.” ~Kody-5th Grade.
