Welcome !
I recently joined the Centre de Recherche petrographiques et géochimiques (CRPG) as a CNRS-researcher in Nancy, France.
My research aims at understanding the impact of climate variability on terrestrial environment. I am developing an approach combining isotopic geochemistry and dating on biogenic and pedogenic carbonates from aeolian sequences. I am particularly interested in reconstructing palaeoclimate data during the Quaternary by using the stable isotopic composition of original proxies such as earthworm calcite granules. I am also focusing on longer time-scales to characterise the impact of climate variability on Central Asian loess-palaeosol sequences and to explore the response of Central Asian land surfaces to climate dynamics, which could have generated terrestrial feedbacks affecting atmospheric and oceanic circulations. I have been involved in projects in western and central Europe, Central Asia and recently in Africa (Botswana and Ivory Coast).
