Teaching activities
Master students
Université de Genève (Switzerland):
2023-2024 : Teacher, 'Méthodes expérimentales' (48h)
2h per week during which Master students will learn how to operationalize their hypotheses to test them, the plus and minus of each methodology, and will be given an overview of the psycholinguistics fields.
Université Port-au-Prince (Haïti):
2023 : Teacher, 'Psycholinguistics: challenges and methods' (online) (30h)
Fully online. This class is given through the moodle platform of the université Paris 8. Students have access to videos, text, as well as activities to learn more and more about psycholinguistics, with a particular focus on language acquisition.
Université Paris 8 :
2023-2024 : Teacher, 'Diversités théoriques en SDL' (76h)
3h per week during which future interpreters (LSF-French) were introduced to the variety of theories that co-exist in language sciences, especially in the French context.
2021-2024 : Teacher, '(Psycho)linguistic seminar' (152h)
2,5h per week. In this class, we introduce students to experimental methods that have been used in psycholinguistics and, more broadly, we help students to adopt a more scientific approach to answer their research questions.
2022 : Co-teacher, 'Experimental linguistics' (19h)
3h per week during which we tutored our students in the building of a linguistic experiment: from the hypothesis to the data analysis.
École Normale Supérieure :
2020 : Teacher assistant, 'Languages in the Visual Modality' (36h)
3h per week, we present students with general linguistics concepts, from phonology to syntax and semantics, and invite them to reflect on the universality of these formal frameworks when considering signed languages.
Université Paris Diderot:
2016-2019 : Teacher assistant, 'Generative syntax' (36h)
1h per week, I propose bottom-up exercises to help students understand the hard notions seen in Syntax class. I also create online self-practice quizzes to help students' memorization of the concepts seen. What we teach to our student, they should be able to use it to decrypt linguistics phenomenons as well as to criticize the method itself.
Bachelor students
Université de Genève (Switzerland):
2023 : Teacher, 'Séminaire de linguistique : Acquisition du langage' (24h)
2h per week during which Bachelor students will learn more about spoken and signed languages acquisition milestones and processes, as well as big debates underlying this field of research.
Université Paris 8
2023-2024 : Teacher, 'Pathologies du langage' (57h)
2.5h per week (CM + TD) where the first semester introduced students to aphasia and the second semester focuses on existing therapies and their linguistic-oriented effects.
2022-2024 : Teacher, 'Acquisition L1' (92h)
2.5h per week (CM + TD), where students are introduced to language acquisition across ages, modalities (spoken and signed) and paths (typical vs. SLI).
2021-2024 : Teacher, 'Analyse contrastive LSF-Français' (92h)
2.5h per week (CM + TD) during which students make parallels regarding socio-historic backgrounds of both languages, as well as their linguistic structuration.
2022-2024 : Teacher, 'Domaines et métiers des SDL' (64h)
2.5h per week (CM + TD) to allow early bachelors that might hesitate to follow their path in the field of language sciences, what they can do with such backroung, at the end of a bachelor, a master, or a ph.D..
2022-2023 : Teacher, 'Voix et Posture' (54h)
2.5h per week (CM + TD) that train students to master the art of public speaking.
Université Paris Diderot
2020 : Teacher, 'Méthodes expérimentales et psycholinguistique' (54h)
4.5h per week (CM + TD), I teach students good practice in research and show them how to analyze scientific literature. I also provide classes on psycholinguistic theories regarding comprehension, production and language processing and more practical classes aiming at giving them the bases of data analysis using the R software.
2016-2019 : Teacher, 'Corpus linguistics, from description to analysis' (84h)
2h per week, I propose either theoretically oriented classes (good practices in corpus research and constitution, introduction to statistics and to the different fields of language sciences ...) or computer pratice classes in which students learn the basis of the UNIX language to search in big data bases. I use many different exercices to help improve their attention.
2016-2019 : Teacher, 'Languages of the world' (84h)
2h per week, I propose an overview of typological researchs and the universals we can find in each domain of language sciences. I start by a brief history of typology, then a presentation of the languages families as well as the theories proposed so far to explain the emergence of language. Following this, students get to learn more about phonetics, phonology, morphology and syntax as well as sign languages researches and families, psycholinguistics and a bit of semantics.
Workshops
Université Paris Diderot:
2018 - 2021 : Instructor of ELAN Workshop for beginners (9h) and advanced (6h)
In this 3h formation, I presented the basics of the ELAN software used to do transcriptions of videos for linguistics purpose. Beginners were able to learn how to start and save a project using ELAN, use a pre-existant tier template and a number of useful shortcuts.
