WCRP Global Precipitation Experiment (GPEX): The WMO Climate Research Programme (WCRP) GPEX aims to accelerate advances in precipitation knowledge and prediction at different temporal and spatial scales, to enhance public access to relevant datasets, and to benefit the society, all by coordinating national and international activities. Member since 2023.
Air-Sea Transition Zone study group: The ASTZ (convened by NASA, NOAA, NSF, and ONR) is charged with developing a well‐defined strategy to advance observing and modeling capabilities and understanding of air‐sea interaction at all required scales for harnessing Earth System Prediction.
WGNE MJO Task Force: The WMO Working Group for Numerical Experiments (WGNE) funds meetings for the international MJO Task Force to evaluate and coordinate research activities to advance understanding and prediction of the Madden-Julian oscillation. Member since 2012; co-chair since 2019.
US CLIVAR Process Study and Model Improvement Panel: The PSMI Panel synthesizes findings from process studies (i.e., field campaigns) and collects feedback on how this information is shared with and used by model developers to advance process understanding. Member since 2019; co-chair 2020-2021.

CSU Dept. of Atmospheric Science Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. The CSU DEI Committee supports the diversity of our students and the broader atmospheric science community by listening to student feedback, showcasing student diversity, and aiming to fulfill the calls issued in "No Time For Silence." Member since May 2020, co-chair 2022.
CSU Department of Atmospheric Science NSF REU Site. Each summer, the CSU REU Site in Earth System Science hosts undergraduate students for a ten-week summer internship to explore careers in atmospheric science research. Assistant Director since 2018.
